Carlo was born and raised in Montreal. He studied at Concordia University, majoring in Theatre Performance and Voice, and graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. There, he studied with this country’s finest professors, most of who also taught at The National Theatre School of Canada.
Carlo moved to Toronto ten years ago. While he settled in his family, he began scoping out the jazz scene in Toronto and met Jen Sagar, a local jazz singer. Jen invited Carlo to sing at a local jazz jam(Girl's Night Out hosted by Lisa Particelli), after sitting in the audience for seven months he finally got up and sang. He was hooked! Soon after that he began taking lessons with a local band leader, who encouraged Carlo to keep singing.
Carlo continues to sing at different venues in the city. He has been part of the TD Toronto Jazz Festival for the last four years and has sung with some of this country’s finest musicians.
Carlo’s drive to succeed in the arts is relentless. Besides acting in numerous plays and a television mini-series, he has worked on several major motion pictures, including George Clooney’s “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, where he played opposite Rutger Hauer and Sam Rockwell, and most recently the sequel to the cult classic “The Boondock Saints II” and " The Kennedys". He has also acted with Peter Gallagher, Stephen Baldwin, Edward James Olmos, Greg Kinnear and Donald Sutherland.
Carlo has lent his voice to well-known television series such as “Puppets Who Kill”, “The G-Spot”, and “Rent-A-Goalie”. He has also worked for the CBC on a radio series called “Recipe for Murder”. Carlo was also chosen by Cadbury and renowned children’s author Robert Munsch to read Mr. Munsch’s stories in French on the Cadbury website (Easter 2007). He has also been featured in numerous commercials some of which can be currently seen on television.
